A recording of Robert's organ arrangement of the Imperial March (Darth Vader Theme) from Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cW4XS449EYU. The arrangement was written for the Organ Scholars' Recital in celebration of the 75th anniversary of Somerville's chapel organ. The recording was produced and directed by Stefan Schwarz, who also played the percussion part. Somerville College is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its recently restored Harrison organ in a special concert that will bring together two generations of organ scholars: Somerville's first organ scholar and college organist Sam Bayliss (2001-2005) joins current organ scholars Douglas Knight and Robert Pecksmith for an exciting programme that will explore the full range of the instrument.
Robert will be playing works by Mendelssohn, Howells and Elgar as well as a surprise item. Rumour has it Darth Vader will be making a guest appearance... Next week the Choir of Somerville College, Oxford, will present a concert of choral favourites and instrumental music at the Liberal Jewish Synagogue in London. Robert will be playing Mendelssohn's Organ Sonata in A major (op. 65/3) as well as accompanying works by Wesley, Holst and Parry.

This year Robert will be accompanying the Choir of Somerville College, Oxford, for a tour of the North West of England. In addition to anthems by Holst, Parry and Mozart, the tour concerts will also include solo works for organ and piano. Robert will be playing pieces by Boëllmann, Franck, Saint-Saëns and Ireland.
